Mount Sion Prayer Centre Bukalango
A Senior Lecturer at the Dept. of Food Science & Technology Makerere University, I am also the Ssabakristu (Parish Chairman) of Ggayaaza Catholic Parish. I and Sarah united in Holy Matrimony on 29th, August 1992.
God blessed has blessed us with four (4) lovely daughters; Catherine (17), Caroline (15), Claire 13), and Christine-Valeria (4) The anxiety over a son (an heir) has tormented us for the last 16 years seeking out near and far, compelling us to listen to countless pieces of advice. We relentlessly employed both the best scientific and local means available but all in vain. In the second last attempt which both of us will never never forget, we parted with over 14 Million UG. Shillings, in hope of a baby boy using invitro fertilization (so-called test tube baby). Beaten flat after this disastrous effort, we almost gave up. In November 2006, I packed bags to attend a two (2) week Workshop on “Horticultural Chain Management for Eastern and Southern Africa” in Pretoria, South Africa. God’s plan is not ours. Before I settled down, I encountered for the first time Mr. Joseph Ssekandi, a zealous Christian and a regular at Mt.SPC Bukalango. We did not chat for long before I realized in his favorable topic “Jesus never fails”. He convinced me with numerous testimonies in his own life and of others, the uniqueness of Mt.SPC and of God’s presence on the Holy Mountain. He promised to lead me to Fr. Magembe for prayers and counseling assuring me that the problem would soon be overcome. He joked that the reason he was in Pretoria was God wanted him there for a different purpose (including me Kaaya) other than the workshop. Almost two years later, it turned out to be exactly that.
Upon my return, I wasted no time I started attending renewal Ministry programs at the centre and soon I
was to discover what happens on the Holy Mountain. I saw and heard many respectable people of all tribes and faiths testifying, miracles of God through His servant. Remarkably, even when Fr. Magembe was not the celebrant of the day, I experienced and saw the power of God at work in people not pushed or touched by anybody. I did not see magic however.
Towards the end of 2007, I and Sarah met with Fr. Magembe in a special prayer over our request. He made it clear that through faith, God will answer this prayer. Sarah became pregnant soon thereafter. We went back again yet for another prayer session. “have faith, all will be as we have asked God.” The man of God reassured us always.
The day was Friday 31st October, 2008; Sarah gave birth to a healthy, wonderful baby boy! the joy of all time of our family and of the year. WE THEREFORE PRAISE HIS NAME. During pregnancy we never and never attempted to find out the sex of the un-born baby-(SCAN Science). We have now realized that this wonder is just a drop in the ocean because we have with our own eyes and ears witnessed deliverances and so many miracles happening on this Holy Mountain. We praise and thank the Mighty God, who in His divine plan inspired and sent His humble servant Fr. Magembe and others to establish this centre to Free Prisoners. We were humbled and have realized, it cost us Faith not Fame, Conviction not Cash and that Jesus rules over science not vice versa.
Brethren! Join us to “Give thanks to the greatest of all gods; His LOVE endures forever”. “He did not forget us when we were defeated; His LOVE endures forever” (Ps 136: 2 & 23) and ”we bless you from Zion” (Ps 134:3)

.Worried and Stressed With Work
Worried and stressed by work related problems, Darlison (wife) a regular at Mt.SPC brought Denis purposely to attend “Ssangalo” –a powerful overnight Vigil celebration held every last Saturday of the Month.
The following week on Monday Denis was informed that he had been promoted. Denis and wife proclaimed “Jesus Christ is the Victor”
Desperate and barren Blessed With a Child
Desperate, barren and worried by her advanced age (38), her long and torturous search for a child took her to many places but finally landed at Mt.SPC. She came to give thanks to God in the presence of believers.

All Christians know the place of Mount Sion in the Bible and the meaning it had for its people of the Old
Testament, and the meaning it has for us, people of
the New Covenant – it is a multifauceted symbol. In
the Archdiocese of Kampala, we too have our own Mt.
Sion...
With a deep sense of gratitude, I return
the glory and honor to God for the unique
spiritual and material achievements. He
has bestowed on our Mt sion Prayer Centre and indeed to
us all this year but also since we started
His work in 1991.The power and blessing
of God is very great ...
